Friday, Saturday - Mash that Sketch

Today I added to my Christmas card supply (which needs a LOT of help... did you know December starts on THURSDAY?! EEK!) thanks to a great Friday Mashup, which I further mashed with the Saturday Sketch Challenge at Stamping 411.
There is something about the Mashup that brings out the best in me.  This is only the second time I've participated, and the two cards rank among my recent favorites.  I chose Early Espresso and Pool Party for my chocolate and teal...
I think I need to splurge on a light tent because it looks much cooler in person, but hopefully you get the idea.  :-)  I rubbed whisper white craft ink on the snowflakes after I embossed them, and the baker's twine coming over the ribbon happened because I put the ribbon on wrong, but I think it's a happy accident.  Otherwise you could hardly see the twine.

I hope you enjoyed the card half as much as I did... thanks for checking out my blog today!

  2. Don't you just love happy accidents? They come out so much better than the first idea and that's what has happened here. Love the way those ornaments look.

I really like the white ink on your embossed background too.

Thanks for playing along with us, hope we inspire you again soon.

  3. Great job on both challenges! Love the Early Espresso with the Pool Party and that embossing folder looks terrific! I agree with Kasey, sometimes the accidents lead into a better idea than you had originally:-) Thanks for joining us at the Friday Mashup!
