This is the second in a series of 2-challenge thank you cards. Today's uses my favorite sketch challenge,
Freshly Made Sketches, and it's also the first time I've played along at the
Color Throwdown.
I was excited to bust out some Taken with Teal. I don't have many retired colors, and that is one of the few in my stash. This card is completely and totally not my usual style, but I kind of like it. I had the thank you banner done, and I couldn't for the life of me figure out what to do with "any shape" focal point. I didn't think I had a stamp set that coordinated with my thank you banner, and I just used my Fun Flowers die on another one of my 4 thank you's, so I wanted to go another route. I thought I might be able to make a flower out of ribbon, but I'm not that great with ribbon. Then I thought there might be another way to make a flower ribbon. So I started cutting strips, and voila!
Also... who knew I had quite that many thank you stamps?! There are some I used that you can't even see after I ran it through the Big Shot. I love how the Tasteful Trims shape echoes the pattern in the DSP. It all turned out somewhat retro in the end.
Thanks for stopping by my blog today!
